"A life not lived for others, is a life not lived."
John Wooden

Ed Boyce - Community leader, motivational speaker, coach and entrepreneur – is known for his gift to provide hope and his ability to help people achieve a brighter future.

As a basketball coach over the past 23 years spanning junior high to the collegiate level, Ed Boyce’s mission has remained consistent – true success lies in helping to build the future of others.

From his initial season in 1985 at Fife High School leading the freshman boys basketball team to a 10 – 0 record after the previous season in which that same team, as 8th graders, were winless. Ed also led Decatur High School to a top 25 national ranking in USA Today. The one constant theme has been his ability to inspire people to dream big.

As a player Ed Boyce carried out this same “no limits” attitude by receiving an invitation to an NBA training camp after being cut from his high school team. Ed Boyce played collegiately at Pacific Lutheran University graduating magna cum laude in 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Education. His most fulfilling achievement was being named an NAIA Academic All-American.

Perhaps his most dramatic example of providing hope to those around him came in 1990. As head coach he led White River High School to a 15 – 9 record and the second round of the District playoffs in one year after. The school posted a 6 – 54 record over the previous 3 seasons combined, including 0 – 20 in the season prior to Ed’s arrival.

Following a successful run as the head basketball coach at Decatur High School in Federal Way, Washington where he led his team to 4 consecutive state tournament appearances (the school had never been to a state tournament in it’s 17 year history), Ed spent 7 years coaching at Boise State University as the Associate Head Coach.

Following his experience at Boise State University, Ed Boyce co-founded the Hoop Dreams Basketball Club where he is currently instilling hope in hundreds of kids.

Along with his wife of 20 years, Connie and their two children Kaila and EJ, Ed has made Boise, Idaho his home.

Ed has blended his experiences and skills as a coach to become an accomplished motivational speaker. His natural dynamic speaking ability, coupled with the successes of those he has touched, has afforded Ed the opportunity to inspire even greater numbers through public speaking.

His message of building a dream, unwavering belief and perseverance, continue to inspire people from all walks of life.
